POTD: I took pictures of my 1st semester drawing portfolio. Some of it, frankly, is just terrible. But there's definitely signs of progress. This is an early in-class project, 3 classes of 3 hours each, 42" x 36" on Arches Rives BFK, all done in Charkole. It was an experiment with reduction technique, so it was appropriate that we drew this evil still life of a monstrocity of an '80s prom dress, a mannequin's head with a hot pink wig, and a pair of '50s platform shoes. Unfortunately, my easel was set up in a location that the composition is nothing much to be proud of. Oh well, here it is...
